Data

We parsed the complete official seat-allotment results published by the Medical Counselling Committee (mcc.nic.in) for NEET UG counselling 2024 and 2025 — every round: Round 1, 2, 3, stray vacancy, special stray, and the BDS/B.Sc Nursing rounds. That is 98,977 individual allotments across 648 institutes, covering All India Quota, AIIMS/JIPMER, central universities (DU, IP, BHU, AMU, Jamia), ESIC, deemed universities, NRI and minority quotas.

Closing ranks

For every combination of college × course × quota × category × round × year we compute the closing rank: the worst (highest) All India Rank that actually secured a seat. "Final closing" on this site means the worst rank that got a seat in any round of that year, including stray rounds — the true last ticket in.

Chance bands

Your rank R is compared with the final closing ranks of 2024 (F₂₄) and 2025 (F₂₅) for each seat group:

• Very high — R ≤ 80% of the better (lower) of F₂₄/F₂₅: you beat both years with margin.
• High — R within both years' closing ranks.
• Moderate — R within one year's closing rank but not the other (cutoffs fluctuated across you).
• Borderline — R up to 25% beyond the worse year's closing rank: possible only if cutoffs slip in 2026.

Limitations — read this

• Cutoffs shift every year with seat-matrix changes, applicant numbers, and exam difficulty. Two years of data bounds — but does not eliminate — that uncertainty.
• This covers MCC-counselled seats only (15% AIQ + central + deemed). The 85% state quota runs on separate state merit lists — some states (e.g. Tamil Nadu) don't even use your All India Rank directly.
• 2024 ranks included NTA's revised decimal ranks after the re-score; we preserve them exactly as published.
• Category conversions in later rounds, in-round upgrades and seat surrenders make stray-round closing ranks noisy; treat Borderline as hope, not plan.
